Rediscovering Our Hunger (Day 5)

RESTORE HIS PRESENCE TO ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE
2 Samuel 6:17 (NLT)
“They brought the Ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the special tent David had prepared for it.”
He’s either Lord of all or He’s not Lord at all.
Devotional Thought
David didn’t just bring the Ark back — he prepared a place. The word makom in Hebrew means “home.” David wasn’t making room for a guest. He was making space for God to dwell.
This is the final step in restoring hunger: establishing God at the center of everything. Not on the edge. Not in the margins. At the core. When God’s presence has a permanent place in our lives, hunger doesn’t fade — it grows.
So the question is: Have you made room? Is He still at the center of your home, your heart, your habits? Or has He been boxed in, shoved aside, or replaced by lesser priorities?
God is looking for a dwelling place, not a temporary visit. Will He dwell with you?

Application Questions
1. Have I truly prepared a place for God in my heart and home?
2. What needs to move or be removed to restore Him to the center?
3. How can I live in a way that keeps Him central — not seasonal?

Today's Challenge
Physically create a space in your home as a “God place.” Make it your daily dwelling spot — a chair, a corner, a desk — and use it this week to center your time with Him.
Today's Prayer
Lord, I don’t want You in the background — I want You at the center. Help me reorder my life around Your presence. Let my heart be a place where You dwell, not just visit. Fill me, satisfy me, and make Your home in me. Amen.
