Rediscovering Our Hunger (Day 3)

RESPOND WITH INTENTIONAL PURSUIT
1 Chronicles 13:5-7 (NLT)
5 So David summoned all Israel, from the Shihor Brook of Egypt in the south all the way to the town of Lebo-hamath in the north, to join in bringing the Ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
6 Then David and all Israel went to Baalah of Judah (also called Kiriath-jearim) to bring back
the Ark of God, which bears the name of the Lord who is enthroned between the cherubim. 7 They placed the Ark of God on a new cart and brought it from Abinadab’s house.

The Kingdom Way is not about a power trip, it's about a presence pursuit!
Devotional Thought
David didn’t just recognize the problem—he moved. He rallied a nation. He made a plan. He acted boldly. Why? Because hunger doesn’t stay still. Hunger pursues.
David knew what it was like to live without God’s presence in the center, and he refused to go back. He called 30,000 people to make one thing clear: “We’re going after the presence of God again.” This was no political move. It wasn’t a leadership flex. It was a holy pursuit.
You don’t pursue God by accident. You pursue Him with intention. With urgency. With movement. It means turning down lesser appetites. It means reprioritizing time. It means leading your home with conviction. Hunger always drives action.
The question is not whether you feel hungry — it’s whether you’re willing to follow that hunger into motion.

Application Questions
1. What’s one area where I need to shift from recognition to action?
2. Am I leading others toward God’s presence through my daily priorities?
3. How can I let my hunger for God be seen, felt, and heard today?

Today's Challenge
Do something visible and practical to pursue God today: lead a family devotional, write in your journal, or invite someone into your spiritual pursuit.
Today's Prayer
Father, I don’t want to just recognize Your absence—I want to run after Your presence. Give me the courage to lead with conviction, to act with urgency, and to chase You with all I have. I want Your presence to be the center of my pursuit. Amen.
